649 Abbey founded by Saint Wandrille and Saint Gond 966 The community founded Mont-Saint-Michel 1006 Reconstruction of the Abbey 1026 Construction of one of the oldest monastic refectories in Europe 1331 Reconstruction of the cloister 1636 Reconstruction and expansion of the library collection 1791 The Abbey is sold 1894 The community is re-established by monks from Ligugé 1997 Restoration of the refectory 2015 Reconstruction of the cloister tracery 2016 Restoration of the Abbey, its cloister and the East Wing as well as the construction of new guest accomodations, all thanks to you
